CBPP Dean Karen Markel departing 快盈v3 next summer

Dear 快盈v3 Community,
Karen Markel, dean of the 快盈v3 College of Business and Public Policy (CBPP), has accepted a job as dean of the College of Business at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. She will complete the academic year at 快盈v3 and begin her new post in Colorado on July 6, 2020.
" 快盈v3 is an amazing place, with so much opportunity. I made a home here and had not planned to leave, but the fiscal uncertainty of last summer and the messages of potential consolidation of Alaska's public universities under one accreditation made it necessary for me to seek new professional opportunities," Dean Markel said. "I have great respect for the leadership at 快盈v3 and my colleagues who will continue to make it an important institution in our community."
Please join me in wishing Dr. Markel well on her new role. I am grateful for her service to 快盈v3 and for her contributions to making 快盈v3 a world-class university.
I will announce interim leadership of CBPP this spring, along with plans for a national search for the next dean.
